“Flowers of the Field Earrings”

A set of hand painted earrings showing the “Flowers of the Field”, inspired by the spring flowers around in the UK. The blues and purples of the bluebells naturally showing off the bright yellow daffodils, have been catching my eye everyday. Then the tiny white splashes of mini flowers sprinkled throughout them just brings it all to life!

These round earrings have green backgrounds providing the backdrop to the strokes of purple and yellow with a few bluebells and daffodils emerging from the overall effect of a vibrant blanket of flowers in the field. They are highlighted with gold ink which glints as the sunlight catches it. Miniature pearls sit at the top, finished off with precious elegant gold hooks bringing out the gold highlights.

As I have been walking past these beautiful flowers each day, I felt the Holy Spirit remind me of these Bible verses from Matthew 6:-

And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you…Therefore do not be anxious…your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:28-34

And then this design that you see here followed…which has materialised into these “Flowers of the Field” earrings. The gold is a reminder of how loved you are by Father God, how precious you are to Him. It is also a reminder to give Him all our anxieties. We can trust Him to provide and protect us in every situation.

These earrings are made with lightweight wooden circles, with gold fill 20mm hooks (the real deal) which brings out the golden elements of the paintings. They won’t weigh your ears down, being painted on such lightweight wood.
