The main features in this painting are beautiful snow-capped mountains in the background with a stunning brilliant blue lake, inspired by the landscapes of New Zealand and Canada. Thick deep green trees surround the lake as they draw your eye to the little white-sailed boat, and then up to the dove flying over the mountains. There is a strong sense of an intimate quiet and secluded pocket tucked into this majestic scene.

The strong blue sky is reflected in the water with the light streaming in from the right hand side. This painting was inspired by the strength of the ascending mountains reflecting the wonder and majesty of God in creation complimented by the serenity of the lake. The boat signifies our journey through life which is guided by the dove flying high above the mountains representing the Holy Spirit.

A wonderful painting to sit peacefully above your mantel piece, in a bedroom or hallway.
