I found myself walking past these helicopters everyday and as the days went by, an image formed in my mind which is what you now see in the painting. I felt the Lord Jesus imprint this on my mind to paint with the words “Follow Him”.

The Bible talks of the Holy Spirit being like a wind, we can’t “see” Him with our physical eyes, yet we can feel Him, learn to hear His voice and follow His lead. As we let go of our plans and ideas, things that tether us, we are more free to follow Him just like these helicopter seeds follow the wind wherever it takes them. They don’t try to stay near their original tree or guide where they fall; they fly in the wind. Likewise, there is a freedom for us when we let go of our self imposed conditions and ideas and just simply follow Him. He will take us so very much further than we can even imagine and it will be part of His massive plans, Kingdom plans, eternal plans, fulfilling plans, God plans.

The original watercolour is hand painted on watercolour paper, giving it a lovely texture and depth to the painting. Prints are printed on a textured paper as well in keeping with the original.
